4 Things to Remember for Accurate Blood Pressure Measurement
1. Choose the Right Time There are two peak periods for blood pressure during the day: 6-10 AM and 4-8 PM. Measuring blood pressure during these times can give insight into the peak values.
2. Maintain the Correct Posture When measuring blood pressure, it is recommended to sit upright with the middle of the upper arm cuff at the same level as the heart.
Ideally, place the arm vertically on a table.
3. The position of the cuff must be correct. Pay attention to choosing a suitable size for the cuff. It is recommended that 1 or 2 fingers can be inserted after wrapping it. Pay attention to the fact that the edge of the cuff cannot be rolled up.
4. Avoid Urination, Excitement, and Nervousness Before measuring blood pressure, empty the bladder. Maintain a stable emotional state.
