Sorry Grey's Anatomy fans, but there is zero chance Sandra Oh will be returning to the hit TV series.
While many fans of the medical drama have been dreaming of the day Cristina Yang and Meredith Grey might be seen together on the show one last time when the series comes to an end, Sandra shut down all talk of it.The 49-year-old played everyone's favourite surgeon from 2005 until 2014, when Cristina moved to Switzerland.
And while the character still features in the show via text or when mentioned by character, that's officially all fans are going to get. When asked by ET Canada about a hypothetical return for Grey's grand finale one day, Sandra stated: 'I gotta tell you, I wish I had a dollar for the number of times…'I'm extremely grateful that you're asking me that question because that means that people are still invested and interested in Cristina Yang – a character who I left six years ago.
'
The Killing Eve star added: 'There are so many new projects and I'm a different person, and so I'd have to say no.'Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Sandra will front new horror movie, Umma.
Named after the Korean word for 'mother', the actress will take on the role of a US woman called Amanda who lives on a quiet farm.
The supernatural movie is based on Amanda's growing fear that she'll end up turning into her estranged mother after the ashes come back from Korea.
While Sandra won't be returning to Greys, the medical drama is currently in production for the 17th season, which will cover the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
